Join a Washington University bariatric physician to learn more about surgical treatment options for weight loss. The weight loss surgery program is available at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital and could be an option for severely obese patients who meet certain criteria.
During this 90 minute free information session, you will learn about treatment options including laparoscopic gastric bypass, adjustable gastric banding, gastric sleeve, duodenal switch, adjustable gastric banding and revisions to bariatric surgery. Time will be allotted for questions and insurance coverage will be discussed.
If you answer Yes to all the following you are a candidate for bariatric surgery. * You are at least 100 pounds overweight or 75 pounds overweight with a specific health related diagnosis. * You are between the ages of 15 and 70 years old. (Note: children ages 15-17 will need to be accompanied by a guardian) If you do not answer Yes to both questions, please call our bariatric coordinator to discuss further at 314-454-7224.

The BJC Institute for Learning and Development located south of Highway 64/40 and west of Hanley Road.
The parking garage is located on Musick Drive between Eager and Hanley Roads. If you enter the parking garage at the eastern most entrance (B2), park as close as possible to the 5th level where there is an exterior walkway from the parking garage into the building. Take the elevators to the Lower Level.
